The Motorola ROKR E8 is a member of the ROKR family which includes other stylish handsets including the Motorola ROKR E6 & the Motorola ROKR Z6. The ROKR E8 is a stunning mobile phone which comes with user friendly control features as well as high quality music features. The main feature on this attractive handset is its changeable keypad which supports haptic touch feedback & mode shift. The mode shift function allows the user to change the style of their keypad depending on the built in feature being used, for instance if the user is using the music feature the music controls will be highlighted & displays where the keypad is positioned, if the user is using the camera feature the camera controls will be displayed in the keypad area & if the user is making a call or input text the numeric & letter option keypad will be displayed. This user friendly control system allows the user to see & use only the controls that are relevant at the time & allows the user to enjoy the feature they are using with ease. The user & fast scroll though their phone book & calendar when the phone is in its phone mode or use the fast scroll to scroll though music files when the ROKR E8 is in its music mode. The handset is slim & easy to carry as it weighs 100 grams & measures 10.6mm deep by 53mm wide by 115mm tall.

A built in music player complete with music mode controls allows the user to enjoy their music easily. The user can transfer music files from other compatible devices or download more music onto their Motorola ROKR E8. The phone is compatible with Windows™ media player™ 11 which allows the user to transfer music files from their PC onto their ROKR E8. The music player supports all popular music formats & comes with easy to use controls which allow the user to drag & drop music files when organising their music files. The Motorola ROKR E8 comes with a built in speaker which allows the user to share their music out loud with others or the user can enjoy a more personal listening experience using a set of compatible headphones. The phone supports Bluetooth® with A2DP which allows the user to enjoy a wireless listening experience if desired. The user can tune into their favourite radio station & enjoy a mobile radio experience but the headphones must be plugged in when using the radio feature.

The ROKR E8 covers a quad band GSM network which covers GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900 which will automatically switch between network bands. The user can enjoy worldwide roaming with the quad band technology but the coverage is fully dependant on the network provider. The Motorola ROKR E8 comes with two gigabytes of internal memory plus the handset comes with an expandable memory card slot which allows the user to add up to four gigabytes of external memory if required for further storage.
